Trudeau as Harper describes him

Trudeau says words but can the media hear them?

Trudeau needs to know that the media expects passionate, albeit pretentious oratory that sells well to the public.– his remark that Mr. Harper was trying to whip up how big our 108’s are was probably based on the simple fact that our tiny little show of force probably aroused more mirth than fear.
Being coolly objective when everyone else is running around like frightened turkeys may be great for running a country but is being interpreted as a callous disregard of danger. And since Harper’s hard work has managed to get a couple of somewhat contrived terrorists to recognize us, plus the well presented video of a guy’s head being chopped off, our excitable media was stunned by Trudeau’s cool appraisal of the situation.
.
Though it should have been obvious that this was just the PM’ s attempt to sell himself as a major player. I can’t be the only one who sees the humor of our P.M. trying to bluff powerhouses like Iran, Isis and other major players in the mid east. I suspect Trudeau saw the humor in that also– Trudeau knows we only have 38 million people, not 400 to 500 million– we can’t afford to play Harper’s silly game and maintain international respect.
