The RIGHT to CHOOSE

A recent article in Scientific American- Mind contains a special article about how to bring up a happy child. this should remind us as to how much hard work and intelligence is required to bring up a baby nowadays. Making the situation worse is our demand that women take on their fair share of running this country,
Smart parents, intent on bringing up happy, productive citizens plan on using contraceptives until till they are able, both economic ally and emotionally, to proceed and even then need all the help society can offer. ( remember we, society ,are the recipients of all their parenting.)We all want a better world to live in and we would all like to have happy, competent, well educated youth to lead the way. Further, to alleviate the load on parents we should support day care and other means of reducing the stress on the parents.

On the other hand, it is so cruel to bring a child into this world if it is not wanted. Just recently a couple let their seventeen year old boy starve to death. Further they now telling us that that girls with mental illness are three times more likely to have babies. You would think doctors and social workers would work hard to teach them to use contraceptives effectively or if really necessary, have an abortion., Imagine an unwanted child being given to a mentally ill person to take care of. Worse still, how about those on drugs, addicted to alcohol or with violent partners ? And aren’t these just the ones to be careless about the use of contraceptives?
The bottom line when it comes to childbirth is whether the potential baby is wanted, if not let’s encourage those who don’t want a child at this time to use contraceptives effectively and ensure that contraceptives are always available and doctors cooperative in assisting averting the cost of an accident.. On the other hand let us build up ways to support caring parents to cope with the problems that this world keeps throwing at them. My preference is that the government invest enough money into suitable ads to teach adults and teenagers how to use contraceptives and for those who are ready and want to bring a child into this world, reduce income taxes on those with the children sixteen and under .and, if I could have my preferences, I would like to see all education free.-It would pay off in a generation.
