DEAR AMERICA

DEAR  AMERICA

We, your fellow Western nations are worried. First let us offer our condolences over your most recent mass killing. But we are worried. You are by far the most religious nation amongst us yet more of your people die from gunfire per year than the following  nations combined: Finland, Germany, Spain, and  England combined did have  in a one year period  293 deaths  by gunfire , while  in your case 9,484 people of your nation  were shot to death. Wow!

Surely by now you realize that prayer is not preventing these tragedies and it is reasonable to assume that these other nations have just as many emotionally maladjusted potential killers   on average as do you, so  it seems obvious to us that you allow too easy access to firearms

We know that your National Rifle Association keeps saying that guns don’t kill people, and that may be true. But people with guns  kill people so access to guns, in our humble opinion, is costing you not only many potentially productive lives, it is also creating a climate of fear that may  generate even more crimes, and certainly  arouses suspicion towards your fellow citizens. So may  we make this suggestion? Perhaps you should  take a good look second  look at  your gun control laws?

And finally we want to congratulate you for the way you  turn to after being hit with these tragedies. From your President down, we hear all the poignant speeches and the wonderful expressions of  sympathy towards both the falling and their stricken families. Nobody does this better than do you

Sincerely, your fellow Western  nations
